We love natural materials. Wood as an organic material in particular
creates a very special room climate and feeling of well-being. Here's
some information and care tips for the material, so that you can enjoy
your pieces for a long time.
Wood is a material that naturally absorbs liquids. We treat table surfaces with a hard wax oil that allows liquids to run off for a while and maintains a beautiful natural look. In general, the wooden surface should be kept as dry as possible. Wipe only if necessary and only with a slightly damp cloth. Then dry with a dry cloth. Please do not use detergent! A water stain can be easily removed by lightly sanding the surface in the direction of the grain with a rough sponge or sandpaper. Then oil the sanded area with a hard wax oil in the direction of the grain with a cloth. We wish you much pleasure with this product!
Besides real wood, we also like to use natural stones such as marble to create exciting accents and contrasts with wood. The marble structure varies from product to product, making each piece of furniture an individual unique piece. Marble should always be kept dry, as stone, like wood, absorbs liquids and changes the surface. Acids such as vinegar or citric acid and acidic cleaning agents damage the surface. Should an acidic liquid get on the marble, it is best to wipe it off immediately and dry it. Although marble is resistant to heat for a short period of time, we still recommend not to place tea lights, pots or other warm objects directly on the marble, but to use a coaster instead.
We love natural linen and canvas and use the fabrics in some upholstered furniture, among other things. Should stains occur, we recommend that you remove the covers and ask professional cleaners for the best cleaning method. During the development of our furniture, we make sure that fabrics are easy to remove and covers can be replaced. The covers of the Oak Linen Sofa, for example, are completely removable and can be reordered on request. For details, please refer to the respective product detail pages.
Metal forms a great contrast to warm materials like wood or stone and is a timeless material. Steel is very easy to clean. Normally wiping with a dry cloth is enough to remove dirt. Some of our products also have powder-coated or painted metal. These surfaces are also very easy to clean. Just be careful not to use scouring powder or a glitter sponge to avoid scratching the surface.
