The bed in the photos has a size of 188 x 208 cm and is suitable for a Mattress of 180 x 200 cm suitable. The secret of the special longevity of oak wood lies in its particularly slow growth: oaks allow themselves a lot of time. An oak grows an average of just 35cm per year. This makes the wood extremely dense, robust and resistant. This gives oak wood its very special quality. And your piece of furniture already has a history of over one hundred years. In the so-called "Janka hardness test", oak wood achieves top values. The hardness test shows how resistant a wood species is to damage and wear. In the hardness test, oak is the absolute longevity champion compared to walnut, teak, cherry or softwoods.
For well over one hundred years, the oak gives itself time to grow. In each of the closely spaced annual rings, the oak wood expresses its peace, strength and character. The natural beauty of oak wood is mainly due to its unique grain. We emphasize this by treating it with a particularly high-quality hard wax oil. We sand the surface and the edges smooth. Oak wood is considered an environmentally friendly choice for use in furniture, as it is particularly durable and resilient and can be used for a correspondingly long time.
Compared to many other woods, oak wood requires particularly little Care and is therefore also very suitable for families with children. The treatment with organic hard wax oil protects the surface against stains and moisture.
